Welcome to the Aussie home cook. This document describes the data we collect, what we do with it and what you are allowed to do with information you find on this blog.

I'd like to highlight that we only collect data necessary to effectively operate the blog (e.g Google Analytics data and data you submit when creating a comment) and that we do not share your personal data other than is necessary for technical reasons to operate the blog. We will only send you emails if you explicitly request it, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you perform actions on our website (such as by posting comments on recipes or submitting posts or when you contact us)

We collect names; email addresses; Network information (Such as IP addresses) and other similar information.

Some information, such as IP addresses, Browser type, referrer and device information (as provided by your web browser) is collected automatically when you visit our website, this information is not linked to any identifying characters such as your name or email address.

If you choose to "Like" us on social media (such as Facebook) we may be able to view information on your public profile (such as your name) within that platform and send messages to you using that platform.

Where we collect an email address from you, we may, with your opt-in consent, use this email address to send you marketing material, including newsletters from this blog. We communicate this data to MailChimp to enable these emails to be sent. You may opt-out of these communications at any point.

We use Google Analytics to understand the sources of traffic to this website and enable us to better focus our content on our audience. This is performed by the inclusion of google analytics scripts within the website. The information captured is not linked to a personal identifer such as a name or email address.

We use cookies as part of Google Analytics and for the correct operation of the website only. We do not perform any other tracking or monitoring of users.

This blog is hosted on servers located in the United States. The operators of this blog are based in Australia. Your information (e.g. an email address submitted with a blog comment or to subscribe to our newsletter) may be transmitted internationally as part of the operation of this site.
